Can you take a six-month course with D, D+, D− or E?

Sometimes, yes—but there is no single grade requirement for everything that lasts six months. KASNEB states that its vocational certificates require a KCSE certificate. NITA Grade III dressmaking, tailoring, hairdressing and beauty routes are open to interested learners, while higher grades require progression through the earlier grade. Institutional programmes use their own published requirements.
