ICT and digital skills<\/h3>\n        <p>ICT can lead to office work, technical support, digital services and, with further training, specialised technology careers. A beginner may start with computer applications, basic repair, graphic design, digital marketing, website management or networking.<\/p>\n        <p>Remote work is not automatic. Electrical installation and solar technology<\/h3>\n        <p>Homes, shops, schools and construction projects require wiring, testing, repairs and maintenance. Plant operation, forklift training and driving<\/h3>\n        <p>Construction, warehouses, transport and agriculture depend on people who can operate equipment safely. NIT offers training involving excavators, graders, bulldozers, rollers, shovels, forklifts and farm tractors.<\/p>\n        <p>Excavator training takes two months and is approximately 70% practical and 30% theory. Learners train using machines that include the CAT 320D and JCB, under an instructor with more than eight years of experience. A new intake begins at the start of every month, and NIT arranges attachment.<\/p>\n        <p>Driving and some machine routes have identification, age, experience or licensing conditions. Kenya&#8217;s construction sector grew by 6.8% in 2025, according to the KNBS 2026 Economic Survey.<\/p>\n        <p>That growth does not guarantee a job, but it supports the continuing relevance of practical building skills. Site practice remains essential; measuring, setting out and finishing cannot be learned from notes alone.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n      <section class=\"nit-choice-section\" id=\"hospitality\" aria-labelledby=\"hospitality-heading\">\n        <h3 id=\"hospitality-heading\">9. Food production, baking and hospitality<\/h3>\n        <p>Hotels, restaurants, schools, hospitals and catering businesses need people who can prepare and serve food safely. Courses may cover cookery, baking, pastry, food and beverage service, housekeeping or front-office operations.<\/p>\n        <p>The accommodation and food-service sector grew by 14.7% in the first quarter of 2026. Employers still look beyond the certificate: hygiene, teamwork, punctuality and calm work during a busy service matter.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n      <section class=\"nit-choice-section\" id=\"fashion\" aria-labelledby=\"fashion-heading\">\n        <h3 id=\"fashion-heading\">10. Fashion design and dressmaking<\/h3>\n        <p>Fashion training can lead to tailoring, school-uniform production, alterations, custom clothing and small-scale garment work.
