Each programme takes one year: two terms of institutional training followed by attachment.<\/p>\n      <p>Entry is open. A learner may apply with a KCPE certificate, a D+, D, D\u2212 or another low KCSE grade. The course choice should be based on the services the learner wants to master, not on which title sounds broadest.<\/p>\n\n      <h3>Plant operator training<\/h3>\n      <p>The Plant Operator Course takes two months and is structured around approximately 70% practical work and 30% theory. Depending on the chosen package and current schedule, training may cover excavators, graders, bulldozers, rollers, shovels and other machines.<\/p>\n\n      <h3>Forklift and driving<\/h3>\n      <p>Forklift training at NIT takes one month and covers inspection, safety, load handling and practical machine control. Driving training takes a minimum of one month.
